Due to continued growth, a vacancy now exists for a Purchaser / Purchasing Assistant based at our Head Office in Galway.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Obtaining quotes, placing orders, and ensuring agreed rates and terms are established with suppliers to maximise financial efficiency.
  • Procuring building materials, processing purchase orders through purchasing software, and following through to the payment stage.
  • Procuring and hiring plant required on site, including cabins, forklifts, fencing, transport, etc.
  • Managing plant and equipment movement.
  • Performing general purchasing administration as required.
  • A competitive package is offered to the successful candidate.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a purchasing role within construction or builders' providers is desirable but not essential; knowledge of building materials is advantageous.
  • Experience with purchasing processes, purchase orders, and procurement.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
