Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Donegal. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple project teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, manage variations, and report on financial performance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of works.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
  • Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in risk management and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office and cost management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
