Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Cork. The ideal candidate will manage financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and estimates.
  • Conduct regular cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts, variation orders, and claims with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, progress reports, and financial statements.
  • Conduct tender analysis, procurement, and subcontractor evaluation.
  • Advise project teams on contractual and financial matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, expenditures, and contractual documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. (residential desirable but not essential ) 
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
