Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team in Limerick. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for mechanical works.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and variations.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate costs.
Prepare interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve cost-related issues.
Ensure compliance with contract conditions, procurement procedures, and industry standards.
Assist in risk assessments and provide proactive cost management solutions.
Requirements:
Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in mechanical projects, preferably in construction, M&E, or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
