Role Overview
A leading international construction and project management organisation is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join its Dublin team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical and electrical cost estimates for complex commercial and mission-critical construction projects, supporting both tender and pre-construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed mechanical and electrical cost estimates from concept through to final tender stage
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, schedules, and other tender documentation
  • Develop cost plans, budgets, and value engineering options
  • Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to obtain accurate pricing
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and cost drivers within M&E packages
  • Support bid submissions, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations
  • Maintain up-to-date cost data and market intelligence for M&E trades
  • Assist with change order pricing and cost control during pre-construction phases
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as an M&E Estimator within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, life sciences, or data centre projects is advantageous
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
