Job Title: M&E Estimator

Role Overview A leading international construction and project management organisation is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join its Dublin team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical and electrical cost estimates for complex commercial and mission-critical construction projects, supporting both tender and pre-construction activities.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed mechanical and electrical cost estimates from concept through to final tender stage
- Analyse drawings, specifications, schedules, and other tender documentation
- Develop cost plans, budgets, and value engineering options
- Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to obtain accurate pricing
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost drivers within M&E packages
- Support bid submissions, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations
- Maintain up-to-date cost data and market intelligence for M&E trades
- Assist with change order pricing and cost control during pre-construction phases
Required Qualifications & Experience - Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Proven experience as an M&E Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, life sciences, or data centre projects is advantageous
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
