Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our procurement team in the construction sector. The successful candidate will support the purchasing process by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to budget.
- Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Support inventory management and monitor stock levels.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and supplier performance.
- Assist with market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements: - Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain is a plus, preferably in construction.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
