We are hiring a Health, Safety & Environmental officer for a leading civil engineering company to cover sites across Galway & Connacht.
Key Accountabilities & Duties:
Conduct site safety meetings, inductions & toolbox talks
Management of all safety & environmental issues on site
Investigation of all accidents, incidents & near misses.
Experienced in conducting EHS risk assessments and audits.
Review of method statements and risk assessments
Continuous review of safety management on site.
Conduct Internal safety audits
What we are looking for
3rd level qualification in Health & Safety.
Experience in Civil Engineering Safety preferable but not essential
Drivers License
Knowledge of Legislation regarding Health, Safety and Environmental
Knowledge, Understanding & Implementation of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 45001
Ability to Work closely and develop a positive, integrated, trust-based relationship with the Contracts manager & Site Team recognise and balance progressing the project with ensuring safety is integrated at all levels in the Project.
Ability to build effective relationships with 3rd parties (H.S.A., E.P.A. etc.)
