Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor / Manager
About the Client Our client is an established Irish residential property developer with over 35 years of experience. They specialize in delivering high-quality, well-designed A-rated homes across Greater Dublin and beyond, with a commitment to creating lasting communities through innovation, attention to detail, and excellence in construction.
 They are now making a strategic shift to bring health & safety in-house—this will be their 
first dedicated Health & Safety hire, marking an exciting transition from outsourced support to embedding a proactive safety culture internally. 
Position Overview As the inaugural 
Health & Safety Advisor / Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the safety ethos of the business. You will develop and implement a comprehensive safety management framework tailored to residential development, from office and workshop environments to live construction sites. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll lead with professionalism, autonomy, and a passion for safety excellence. 
Key Responsibilities  - Develop & Implement Safety Frameworks
 Design, roll out, and maintain effective health & safety policies and procedures, aligned with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., ISO 45001, Construction Regulations).  - Safety Culture Builder
 Lead the transformation from outsourced compliance to an embedded, positive safety culture across office, site, and operational teams.  - Training & Awareness
 Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, site briefings, and ongoing H&S communications to staff and subcontractors.  - Risk Management & Compliance
 Conduct risk assessments, site audits, incident investigations, and near-miss reviews; register and track corrective actions.  - Engagement & Coaching
 Collaborate with operations and project teams to influence safe behaviours, participate in weekly meetings, and cultivate safety ownership.  - Regulatory Preparedness
 Prepare for and coordinate with external health & safety authorities, certification bodies, and client audits as needed.  - Monitoring & Reporting
 Track safety KPIs (e.g., incidents, training completion, audit findings); prepare dashboards and reports for senior management.  
 What we are looking for:  - NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, IOSH membership, or equivalent safety qualification.
  - Proven track record in construction or residential development safety management (4+ years).
  - Hands-on experience with risk assessments, audits, incident investigation, and training delivery.
  - Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar systems.
  - Strong communication and influencing skills—capable of interacting with site operatives, contractors, and senior stakeholders alike.
  - Comfortable operating independently and building systems from the ground up.
