Health & Safety Advisor to strengthen its health, safety and compliance capability across its manufacturing operations and project installations.
As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust health and safety performance across factory, logistics and site environments, helping safeguard employees, contractors and visitors while supporting business growth and best-practice compliance.
Key Responsibilities - Promote and implement the company's health and safety strategy, aligned with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead development, review and communication of health and safety policies, procedures, and safety documentation tailored to manufacturing and on-site operations.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), safety plans and site-specific hazard analyses.
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, audits and safety observations across production facilities and installation projects.
- Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, training sessions and workshops to enhance safety awareness and competence at all levels.
- Engage with site and project teams to monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Interface with regulatory authorities, clients and subcontractors on matters relating to health, safety and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, safety performance reporting and benchmarking activities.
Who We're Looking For - Third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in health & safety, ideally within construction, manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and standards applicable to manufacturing and site operations.
- Demonstrable experience preparing RAMS, conducting audits and driving H&S improvement programmes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across teams.
- Confident in reviewing technical documentation, contractor safety submissions and compliance reporting.
- Professional certifications (NEBOSH Diploma/IGC, IOSH, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
