Health & Safety Advisor (North Dublin) OCS Recruitment is seeking a motivated and proactive
Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure works in the
North Dublin area. This role suits a candidate with
2-3 years' experience who wants to take ownership of safety initiatives, influence on-site behaviours, and contribute to strong project performance.
Key Responsibilities - Support the implementation of the client's health & safety policies and procedures on-site.
- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project teams and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant Irish health & safety legislation and industry standards.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and provide day-to-day guidance to site personnel.
- Prepare reports, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to continuous safety enhancement.
- Collaborate with project management to ensure safe systems of work and effective planning.
Requirements - 2-3 years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within Irish construction or civil engineering.
- Recognised Irish H&S qualification (e.g., Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of Irish H&S legislation, construction regulations, and best practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
