About the Role:
OCS Recruitment is partnering with a leading project delivery and civils construction company to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor based in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to support construction and management teams on multiple projects, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain close working relationships with management and construction teams to actively support the implementation of the Safety Management System.
  • Assist in appointing competent personnel to key safety roles and ensure training needs are identified and delivered.
  • Conduct accident investigations and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Participate in daily meetings to update management on EH&S issues.
  • Coach and educate managers and employees to improve team safety and performance.
  • Compile and report monthly safety statistics and other metrics requested by management.
  • Conduct inductions, site safety briefings, documentation reviews (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Training records), permit completion, and PPE enforcement.
  • Perform on-site risk assessments and review existing assessments.
  • Conduct daily inspections and audits, reporting findings to clients as required.
  • Promote health and safety capabilities internally and externally to staff and clients.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Professional and diplomatic, able to engage with personnel at all levels.
  • Experience working in construction or project delivery environments is preferred.
