Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil and building construction projects.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and tender documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimates.
- Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimation records.
- Monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.
Requirements: - Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management are preferred.
