Job Title: Environmental Advisor
Location: Ireland (Various Locations) – HO Kildare

The Role: The Environmental Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects comply with environmental regulations and company standards. The Advisor will report directly to the Senior Environmental Advisor.
Duties: - Assisting in maintenance of the Environmental Management System and to ensure continued compliance with ISO14001.
- Developing Tender Stage Environmental Responses and Environmental Plans for submission.
- Apply for the relevant consents and licenses regarding environmental issues on our projects.
- Develop and maintain Project Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans etc. and ensure that relevant controls / requirements are included in all project documentation.
- Implement environmental policies and procedures in line with current legislation and company standards.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits for construction projects.
- Advise project teams on environmental issues, including waste management, resource efficiency, and energy use.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (EPA, Inland Fisheries etc), our clients and other project stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Provide training and support to staff on environmental issues (Spill response etc.).
- Promote sustainable construction practices and technologies within the company.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate sustainability into all aspects of project planning and execution.
- Assisting with the production and issue of monthly KPI statistics.
- Keeping up to date with changes in environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.
- Carrying out Environmental Inspections through the Contract and ensuring that all Actions raised are closed out in a timely manner.
- Investigating, logging and monitoring of Environmental Incidents and Non conformances.
- Providing advice to project Teams and responding to queries or correspondence on environmental issues.
- Identifying significant environmental impacts for projects and helping set-up projects to include appropriate controls are in place.
- Obtain Waste Permits/ Exemptions for Sites as required.
- Ensure all environmental records are kept and readily available for external auditing.
Qualifications: - Relevant 3rd level qualification in environmental
- Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams,
- Good written and spoken communication abilities.
- Good IT skills with a high attention to detail
- A flexible and proactive approach
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
