We are recruiting an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead the implementation and management of comprehensive EHS plans and policies across multiple active residential sites in Cork. This is a key leadership role, suited to a professional with extensive construction-sector EHS experience and the capability to drive compliance and best practice across all operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental standards across two active sites in the region, with a third site due to commence shortly. The role also involves supporting the closure and final EHS compliance activities on a near-complete site in Midleton, ensuring all obligations are met as the project reaches handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain full EHS policies and procedures across all active sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Oversee site safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site teams on EHS matters.
  • Work closely with the H&S Advisor, Document Controller and Quality Manager to ensure integrated compliance and documentation standards.
  • Manage incident investigations and reporting, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintain up-to-date EHS records and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary EHS point of contact for site teams and external regulatory bodies.
Key Requirements
  • Several years’ experience in an EHS Manager role within the construction sector (main contractor background preferred).
  • Proven experience in residential or similar construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Ability to implement EHS strategies across multiple active sites.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a H&S Advisor.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to site safety and compliance.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is not suitable for this role.
