We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety manager to lead and enhance a strong safety culture across multiple sites and facilities. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of group-wide EHS strategy, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and the highest standards of workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive and embed a proactive EHS culture that champions safe working practices across production, manufacturing, and site operations.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and best practice, significantly reducing workplace incidents.
- Actively promote EHS initiatives throughout all areas of the business in line with continuous improvement.
- Monitor and implement legislative updates promptly in accordance with procedures.
- Conduct safety audits across sites and factories, produce performance metrics/scorecards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented with accountability.
- Lead thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring timely reporting, corrective measures, and accurate insurance documentation.
- Collaborate with Site Officers to identify, plan, and deliver safety-related training.
- Develop and implement long-term EHS strategies, ensuring full compliance across all sites and facilities.
- Enhance and expand EHS systems, recommending additional supports where required.
- Maintain and develop ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards across all relevant sites, ensuring successful audit compliance.
- Regularly review and update Risk Assessments and SOPs for all required job tasks.
- Establish strong communication channels to reinforce the message of "The Safe Way... or No Way."
- Support client requirements by maintaining and updating qualification platforms.
Professional Experience & Qualifications: - Recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety and/or Environmental discipline.
- Proven leadership experience in a multi-site, manufacturing, or site-based environment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to civil engineering, construction, rail, or infrastructure sectors.
