About the Opportunity OCS Recruitment is currently working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded construction contractor to source an experienced EHS Advisor for a large-scale residential development in South Co. Dublin
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated safety professional with strong residential experience who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of site safety performance.
The Role Reporting to the senior EHS function and project leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting and driving best-practice health & safety standards across a medium/high-density residential project.
This role requires a confident self-starter who can work on their own initiative while maintaining close collaboration with site management and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and monitor site-specific EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure full compliance with Irish health & safety legislation and company standards.
- Lead and document incident/near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety briefings.
- Maintain accurate records using EHS IT software systems.
- Oversee high-risk activities including:
- Mobile cranage operations
- Timber frame erection
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all trades and subcontractors.
Candidate Requirements - Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS role within residential construction, ideally medium to high-density developments.
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of construction activities.
- Experience overseeing lifting operations and timber frame installation.
- Comfortable using EHS management software and digital reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on site.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Minimum qualification:
- Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (SHWW)
- OR Certificate qualification with strong site experience and a desire to upskill.
