OCS Recruitment is currently recruiting a Document Controller on behalf of a leading structural steel and construction contractor to support works on a large-scale pharmaceutical project based onsite in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
This is a key role within the project team, responsible for ensuring all construction and quality documentation is accurately controlled, maintained, and issued in line with project and regulatory requirements.
The Role The Document Controller will manage all project-related documentation, supporting engineering, fabrication, site, and quality teams. The role requires strong attention to detail and experience working within a structured, compliance-driven construction environment.
Key Responsibilities - Establish and maintain the project document control system for all construction and quality records
- Manage the receipt, review, distribution, and archiving of project documentation
- Maintain strict document numbering, version control, and revision tracking
- Coordinate document submissions between site teams, engineering, fabrication, and subcontractors
- Support pharmaceutical site requirements by ensuring documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards
- Assist with audits, inspections, and handover documentation
- Track outstanding documents and follow up with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity at all times
Requirements - Previous experience in a Document Controller role within construction, engineering, or a similar technical environment
- Experience working on pharmaceutical, data centre, or highly regulated projects is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with construction documentation such as drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, and quality records
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with site-based teams
