Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Bid Writer to lead the preparation, writing, and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, the estimating team, and project teams to produce compelling, accurate, and competitive bids that reflect the company's expertise and values.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, write, and coordinate tender submissions for public and private sector projects
  • Analyse tender requirements, ensuring all compliance criteria are met
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather project information, methodologies, and pricing inputs
  • Produce clear, professional, and persuasive written content tailored to client needs
  • Manage tender timelines, ensuring submissions are completed ahead of deadlines
  • Maintain bid libraries, company information, and supporting documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in bid quality, layout, and presentation
  • Support pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), invitations to tender (ITTs), and framework applications
About You
 
Essential:
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience producing bids, proposals, or technical documents (construction industry experience preferred)
  • Ability to digest technical information and communicate it clearly
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable:
  • Experience working in construction, engineering, or similar sectors
  • Familiarity with public procurement platforms (eTenders, etc.)
  • Graphic/layout skills to enhance bid presentation
