OCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced
BCAR / Document Controller to support a busy multi‑site construction portfolio across commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate will manage the coordination, control, and tracking of all project documentation, with specific responsibility for supporting compliance with the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR) reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain and manage the full project documentation lifecycle, including creation, review, distribution, filing, and archiving.
- Coordinate BCAR documentation and workflows, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and submissions are audit‑ready.
- Organise, upload and maintain structured project data in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Asite, Procore or similar).
- Assist project teams with preparation and compilation of documentation for audits, inspections, and client requests.
- Maintain document registers, revision control, transmittals, distribution lists, and compliance logs.
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure documentation accuracy and timeliness.
- Support project quality and compliance functions as required.
Requirements - Minimum 2‑4 years' experience in construction document control with some of this in BCAR coordination.
- Strong understanding of BCAR documentation processes and standards.
- Proficient in electronic document management systems and MS Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multi‑disciplinary teams.
