About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a collaborative and fast-paced Finance team. This role is well-suited to an ambitious professional looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established organisation that values progression and development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process, match, and post high volumes of supplier invoices across multiple currencies and entities
  • Serve as a key point of contact for a designated portfolio of suppliers
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice, account, and payment-related queries
  • Perform monthly supplier account reconciliations
  • Manage various administrative duties including master data updates and mailbox/document control
  • Support month-end closing activities and audit requirements
  • Participate in ongoing finance process improvement projects
  • Carry out additional ad-hoc duties as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager
Candidate Requirements:
  • 2-5 years experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including VAT treatment on invoices (e.g. reverse charge, Intrastat)
  • Business-related qualification desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and compliance mindset, particularly when managing high-volume transactions
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with industry-specific systems (Dynamics 365, Proactis, Tradex) is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience within the construction industry is beneficial
